The iTunes App Store is currently highlighting a section on Apps for Teachers in their featured category. A range of free and paid apps are currently available under the following headings: Classroom Tasks; Curricula Support; Instructional Tools; Personal Organisation; Reference. Although there are many apps in the App Store that would support the teacher in the classroom, 79 are featured in this special section.
There are apps like Show Me and Splashtop Whiteboard that can virtually turn your iPad into an Interactive White Board when connected to a projector. Brainpop, DK The Human Body and Garageband are featured in the Curricula Support section. Pages, Penultimate and iBrainstorm feature in the Instructional Tools section. Apps like Evernote, Dropbox Quickoffice and GoDocs for Google Docs get a mention in the Personal Organisation section. The National Geographic Word Atlas and the Art Authority for iPad are featured in the Reference section.
Visit the iTunes App Store Apps for Teachers section to browse through these and many other apps.
I recommend having a look at Teacher Pal and Easy Assessment, discovered them both in the Apps for Teachers feature and they’re very impressive.
Check out the Math Pentagon and Math Bingo apps for Math iPad apps.
In Math Pentagon,i like the feature where teacher can create assignments for students, and then review those.
