Smarty Cat Games has recently developed Gaeilge resources to assist with the teaching of Curaclam na Gaeilge. The Chatty Cat Ball (An Cat Cainteach) contains 21 questions and actions to help children develop their oral language skills in a really exciting and fun way. It develops children’s ability to speak about themselves in front of their peers. Through this interactive and hands on activity children become actively involved and engaged in their own learning.
Smarty Cat Games has also developed a harder version of An Cat Cainteach and now a Maths Cat ball is also available with multiplication tables on it.
Smarty Cat Games has given us one of each of these three resources as competition prizes on the site. To be in with a chance to win one of these resources for yourself or your school, simply fill in the form below with your details and answers to the questions. The questions are all based on seanfhocail and are relatively easy (hopefully!) and answers must be as Gaeilge. All entries for the competition must be in by 5pm this Friday May 29th. Only one entry per teacher is permitted. The winner will be selected on Twitter (@seomraranga) after this time.
Please make sure that you give a contact email address that you can be contacted on immediately after the competition as teachers have forfeited prizes by not answering their emails promptly! Again, many thanks to Claire O’ Gorman, creator of these resources from Smarty Cat Games, for sponsoring the prizes for this competition. Go n-éirí an t-adh libh!
