ESL Aloud is a new website from an Irish primary school teacher. The teacher creates simple poems in order to teach basic vocabulary to pupils learning English as a second language. The poems are colourful and engaging and would look great projected large onto an IWB. Images pertinent to the vocabulary of the poem accompany the poems.
The teacher also includes lesson ideas, games, activities, worksheets and visual arts suggestions to do with each poem. Already there are poems on the site on the following themes: time, myself, transport, weather, food, school, clothes, holidays & festivals.
