The INTO have produced an app that will be useful for all teachers and principals to have. The app allows users to search for and find out information on their leave entitlements, whether that leave is a brief absence, extended leave or sick leave.
Under the “Brief Absence” section there are twenty different types of leave to find out about; under “Extended Leave there are seven different types of leave; under Sick Leave there are two types of leave. INTO
Under each different type of leave, the app tells you whether it is paid or unpaid, what is the maximum period allowed for the leave and whether the leave is substitutable or not. There is also a link to the relevant circular/s at the bottom of each different type of leave page.
So, whether you need information on EPV Days, Maternity Leave, Family Illness, Unpaid Leave, Wedding Leave, Career Break, Secondment or Self-Certified Sick Leave, this app has all the information you need at your fingertips.
The free app is available for both Android and Apple devices and may be downloaded from the relevant store. Simply search for “INTO Leave App” or “INTO Guide to Teachers’ Leave” and you should be able to find the app.
