“Island of Adventures” is a factual book about things to do in Ireland. I would recommend it to both families and adults. I would give it to children between the ages of seven and ten because it is quite easy to read. I could definitely imagine a tourist buying this before a flight to Ireland. I think it would be more useful to a child who is from outside of Ireland.
This book teaches you so much about Ireland. I learned that there is a sandcastle building competition at a beach near where I live.
What I really liked about this book were the illustrations and the layout. The extra bits of information all around the pages were fun to look at. What I didn’t like was the island hopping section because it didn’t look as good as the other pages.
My favourite things were the “Visit a Haunted House”, “Go Boating” and “Dive a Shipwreck” because they all look very interesting and I would like to do them.
My final opinion of the book is that it is very interesting and I liked it quite a lot. My score for this book is 7/10.
