“You’ve Got a Friend” by Judi Curtin is about Eddie (Molly’s dad) who has come back from Africa. Molly’s dad had no friends. He could not talk to his brother. Molly and Beth wanted to find out what was the problem. They went back in time to see could they find out what was the problem.
The characters in the book are Eddie (as a child), Molly, Beth, Molly’s mum and Beth’s dad.
I thought the book was very heart warming. I didn’t like the part where Beth got stuck in hospital.
My favourite part of the book was when Molly and Beth got Pablo (the cat) for Molly’s dad.
I would recommend this book for children aged 10-13 years.
I would give this book 8+1/2 out of 10.
