Getting pupils to do a Web Quest is a fun and engaging activity that can easily be completed independently, especially during this period of remote learning. This Free web quest is based on the children’s section of the Áras an Uachtaráin website.
On this website, pupils can learn about the role of the President, what he/she does in their role as President, the history of the house and information about the current President. While visiting the website, pupils can watch videos, take a Virtual Tour of the house and they can also take a quiz about what they have read at the end of lots of the pages.
This Web Quest consists of fifteen questions, the answers of which can all be found in the children’s section of the President’s website. You can download the Web Quest below to give to pupils and the answers for the teacher are in a separate download.
If you are posting about doing the Web Quest on Social Media, tagging Seomra Ranga would be appreciated!
The download can be made available to pupils in whatever closed online space you are using (Seesaw, Google Classroom, Aladdin etc). It may not be made available as a download on your school website.

Hi,
Go raibh maith agat. Lovely resource on Áras an Uachtaráin. Typo on 2nd page – I cannot edit? – Whoever is the current president lives *there* with their family for their term of office.
Thanks for spotting that Rút. There’s always the odd typo that slips through the net! I’ve updated the file for you.
Go raibh míle maith agat : )
