These Free maths posters are aimed at giving pupils one strategy to deal with maths problems, particularly word problems which some may find difficult. The posters are a simple visual reminder to them of four easy steps that they can take to problem solving that may assist them.
R = Read the problem twice, if not three times
U = Underline the important words or the clue words
D = Draw the problem (especially useful for visual learners)
E = Estimate the answer (estimates give pupils something to compare their final answer to)
