Next Wednesday, March 5th marks the beginning of Lent 2014 and, as usual, the Trócaire charity has produced some great classroom resources to coincide with the season of Lent. “Make Every Drop Count” is the theme of the resources this year and there are separate resources for Primary pupils, Post-Primary pupils and resources as Gaeilge for Gaelscoileanna.
The Primary resource focuses on the impact of the global water crisis and aims to use active teaching methodologies to critically examine the theme of water. The resources provide teachers with information, lessons, photos and activities that explore Trócaire’s work through the theme of the global water crisis.
Trócaire also has resources suitable for the IWB in the classroom with slideshows, videos, a photo gallery and a webquest.
