The new Minister for Education and Skills, Jan O’ Sullivan TD has agreed to be a special guest in the weekly #EdChatIE Twitter chat next Monday, September 29th. The Twitter chat will take more of a “question and answer” format on this night. Fred Boss, the organiser of the weekly chats, is looking for suggested topics for the chat. Teachers can add a proposed topic for the chat HERE This poll will remain open until 6pm tomorrow (Tuesday 23rd September).
All of the suggested topics will be then be available to be voted on in the usual way through the #edchatie hashtag. Voting will close at 6pm this Thursday, 29th September. The top four topics/questions after voting closes will be chosen for the discussion. This will allow about 15 minutes to be devoted to each topic during the #edchatie discussion.
Then on Monday 29th September the #edchatie discussion will take place beginning with Question 1 for the first 15 minutes, followed by Questions 2, 3 and 4 until time is up at 9.30pm. This is a great opportunity for teachers to engage with the new Minister and she deserves praise for agreeing to take part in the discussion. You can follow the Minister on Twitter: @JanOSullivanTD
