Amnesty International Ireland run an Irish Aid funded CPD programme for primary school teachers called Rights Sparks. The Rights Sparks programme provides free CPD workshops to primary school teachers on human rights and development education methodologies which can be integrated into the curriculum.
Workshops are delivered by active primary school teachers especially trained in human rights and development education. The workshop facilitators will travel to a school on request provided there are a minimum of five teachers attending the workshop – all free of charge.
The programme in its current form will only run until April 2017, so Amnesty International Ireland are interested in contacting as many teachers and schools as possible in order to avail of the Rights Sparks programme before it’s completion.
Interested teachers/schools can get more information and contact details from the Rights Sparks Page on the Amnesty website.
