The title of my book is Danny Brown and the Big Surprise. The author is Brianóg Brady Dawson. This story is about a boy called Danny who goes to visit his Granny at the weekend. She has a surprise which she shows to Danny. She has a big birthday cake for his mom but Danny must keep it a secret. Danny does keep the secret but the cake gets a little battered before mom gets it.

My favourite part of the book was when Keeno the dog was eating the cake in the shed. My least favourite part was when Danny said it was Mom, Dad and Keeno’s fault. I really enjoyed reading this book.

My teacher read it for my class and they loved it too. It’s suitable for 7 to 9 year olds. I would give this book a score of 10 out of 10.
