This story is about Barney Goose. Barney started life as an egg. A man called Tom the Lighthouse Keeper found him washed up on a beach in West Cork. Tom took the egg home and kept it warm until it hatched. Barney had lots of adventures and met new friends along the Wild Atlantic Way but always came back to Tom in West Cork.

What did you think about the book?
I liked the book because of Barney’s description of all the beautiful places.
What part did you really like?
I liked the part where he soared over the hills of Donegal because it made his heart happy and I’m from Donegal so it makes me happy too.
What part did you really dislike?
I liked all of it,
What was your favourite bit?
My favourite bit was when the geese flew across the Atlantic Ocean to Greenland past the Northern Lights. The Northern Lights looked cool and Barney never felt so happy.
What age group would you recommend the book for?
I think this book would be suitable for six and seven year olds.

I would give this book 10/10 for a lovely story and great illustrations.
