My first impression of this book was that it was colourful and interesting. It has an attractive cover, with a picture of a puffling, which looks funny and cute. I went through the book with my two siblings, who are younger than me. They really loved the parts where it taught you how to draw different animals.
We all did fun drawings following the instructions, which were very clear. You also learnt different facts through the book, for example about whales and about the Skelligs, where the puffins live. I liked that you could colour in the pictures that were next to the facts.
My sister enjoyed the dot to dot exercises. I liked the section at the end which had a picture about life on the Skellig islands. It was really cool seeing all the animals that lived there. I spotted a dog fish and a red scorpion fish. There was nothing that I did not like about the book.
I think this book would be suitable for children between aged four to nine – maybe a bit older if they like drawing and colouring, and learning too. I would give this book eight out of ten. My sister would give it ten out of ten.
