Grace and Aaron’s granda run a pony camp at Rowen Tree stables. Pony Camp is very competitive, with two teams competing to get the most points to win the trophy. The teams are Flying Leaps and The Gallopers, both teams play tricks on each other. Leah tries to make the other team lose points by opening Bonnie’s kick bolt so that Bonnie would escape from her stable. Grace has to find Bonnie and bring her back to safety. There is lots of drama at Rowen Tree Stables. When Alaska, the pregnant pony goes into labour, Aaron and Grace have to ride to Dingle’s farm to get a vet to help her.
I thought that the book was amazingly great and that it really suited me. I also think that any young person who likes horses and horse riding would enjoy reading this book. It would be the most perfect book for a young person who loves horses but needs encouragement to read more, like me. I loved how it gave a realistic story of a real pony camp and how I could imagine the characters in my head doing what the book said they were doing.
I liked how Grace and Aaron worked together and when they went on adventures. I didn’t like when Grace lied about Bonnie’s kick ball.
My favourite part of the book was when Grace and Aaron were really brave to go get the vet when Alaska went into labour.
I think this book is suited to readers aged 7 to 10 years old. Both girls and boys, especially if they like horses and pony camps.
I score this book 8 out of 10.
