This Free PowerPoint resource is aimed at pupils in middle and senior classes. Dingbats are hugely popular with pupils and they can be used as a fun game/task to get pupils thinking. There are 10 different Dingbat slides in the resource for pupils to have fun with. Answers are included on each slide.
Dingbats is a puzzle game where the text/images and/or the arrangement of the text/images represents a common word, phrase or term. The more that pupils become familiar with this type of game, the more that they will become competent and enjoy it more. Dingbats promote vocabulary development, lateral thinking skills and problem solving skills.
This resource could be used as a language game, a lesson transition activity or as a whole-class warm-up for an English/reading lesson. It could also be used simply as a fun activity.
