Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

W. B. Yeats
Yeats Day is celebrated annually in Sligo and around the world on the date of his birthday, June 13th. This resource gives pupils an overview on the life and work of this Irish Nobel poet, W. B. Yeats. Comprising of 34 pages, it details his life from his early childhood experiences in Sligo, to his love for Maud Gonne and his eventual marriage to Georgie Hyde-Lees.
Summer Grid
This seasonal Summer resource is aimed at pupils in middle/senior classes working on co-ordinates from the Shape and Space Strand of the Maths curriculum. It is based on pupils’ ability to work out the co-ordinates of a particular Summer image on the grid. Pupils should have knowledge of these aspects of maths before engaging in this exercise.
Father’s Day Cards
Father’s Day is celebrated annually on the third Sunday of June. To mark the day, this resource consists of a set of black/white Father’s Day cards for pupils to colour. 15 different cards are included in this resource – 10 in English and 5 as Gaeilge. Pupils will enjoy colouring and decorating these cards.

Review of the Year
This resource is aimed at pupils in middle and senior classes as a way of looking back over the academic year. It consists of a 14-page booklet for pupils to complete, illustrate and decorate. It gets pupils to record facts about themselves, their memories of the year, their favourite things and those special moments.
Number Matching Puzzles 01
These Maths Task Cards are aimed at pupils in middle/senior classes. They are intended to be used as a fun and playful game/task/activity to make pupils aware of common numbers used both in maths and in everyday usage. There are 24 number card puzzles in the pack for pupils to match, four per A4 page.
Sports Table Quiz
This Sports-themed Table Quiz comprises eight rounds of six questions, a Tie-Break Round, Sports Jokes between rounds and answers to all questions on 178 Powerpoint slides. Supplementary resources are also included. It is geared towards pupils in the middle/senior end of the school. It would be a perfect activity to be included in your Active/Sports Week.
6th Class Transition Booklet
This resource is aimed at 6th class pupils as they embark on the transition to Secondary School. It has up to 40 pages for pupils to complete, fill in, illustrate and decorate. It gets pupils to think about, among other things, their concerns, subjects they might be studying, rumours they may have heard and what they are looking forward to as they embark on their secondary school journey.
