Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Book Review – The Legend of the Blue Buffaloes
This is a magical rhyming tale perfectly suited for older children. The illustrations are beautiful and add to the mystery. This was one of the first picture books that felt age appropriate for this class. We read this story over two sessions and the children did not want to finish, they were totally enthralled and enraptured by Panpang’s story. read more…
Book Review – Ride to the Rescue
In this book, 10 year olds Grace Ryan and Aaron Collins, who go to ride horses at Rowan Tree Stables, figure out a nature mystery. Grace’s Grandad, Denis, is the owner of Rowan Tree Stables. Hallowe’en Table Quiz
This updated Hallowe’en Table Quiz, comprises eight rounds of six questions, a Tie-Break round, Hallowe’en Jokes between all rounds and answers to all questions on 151 Powerpoint slides. It is probably geared towards pupils in the middle/senior endof the school.
Hallowe’en Word Mat
This resource could be used as an aid to pupils in middle and senior classes. The word mat contains interesting vocabulary associated with Hallowe’en. It would be especially useful for pupils when completing some written work or creative writing with a Hallowe’en theme.
