Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Valentine Grid
This seasonal Valentine resource is aimed at pupils in middle/senior classes working on co-ordinates from the Shape and Space Strand of the Maths curriculum. It is based on pupils’ ability to work out the co-ordinates of a particular Valentine image on the grid. Pupils should have knowledge of these aspects of maths before engaging in this exercise.

This new resource, published to coincide with Pancake Tuesday, contains a set of 28 photo posters as Gaeilge to help with the seasonal topic of Pancake Tuesday in the classroom. The posters contain high resolution photographs of pancake ingredients, equipment needed to make pancakes and a step-by-step recipe.

This phonics display resource consists of posters drawing pupils’ attention to word patterns in Gaeilge to help with spelling and written work. Twelve different phonics patterns are included in the resource. Each pattern has two posters, one with a large image and a single word, the other showing 14 examples of words with this sound pattern.

This seasonal resource consists of 23 Valentines’ Day-themed posters as Gaeilge. The posters feature objects that are associated with this annual celebration of love – cárta Vailintín, seacláidí, rósanna, milseáin, bronntanas srl. This Table Quiz, especially put together for Valentines’ Day, comprises eight rounds of six questions, a Tie-Break Round, Jokes between rounds and answers to all questions on 173 Powerpoint slides. Chinese New Year Colouring Book
With Chinese New Year almost here, pupils especially in junior classes will be motivated by thematic work of any kind.
