Welcome to Seomra Ranga, the Hub for Primary School Resources. For the overseas visitors “Seomra Ranga” means “classroom” in the Irish language.

Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Referendum 2024 Pupil Booklet

With voting on two different referendums coming on March 8th, it’s an opportune time to teach pupils about aspects of democracy and the democratic process. This eight-page booklet, in both English and Gaeilge, has different sections for pupils to complete and illustrations to colour. It is based on the Referendum poster resource also on this website.

Leap Year Colouring

With Leap Day (February 29th) almost here, pupils especially in junior classes will be motivated by thematic work of any kind. This resource consists of a set of black/white images with a Leap Year/Leap Day theme for pupils to colour. 15 different colouring pages in A4 landscape are included in this resource.

Referendums 2024

The government is holding two referendums on March 8th to make changes to the Irish Constitution in relation to the concept of family and to care provided by family members. This 25-page poster display resource is designed to assist in explaining both of these referendums to pupils in senior classes.

Leap Year Information

As this year 2024 is a Leap Year, it is an opportune time to teach pupils about what a Leap Year is and why it occurs. This resource consists of 13 display posters giving pupils background on the reasons behind having a Leap Year, what the “Centuries Rule” is and some interesting facts about Leap Years.

Leap Year Bookmarks

These bookmarks are intended to help mark the Leap Year which occurs on February 29th this year. There are 20 different bookmark designs in the download in both English and Gaeilge. The bookmarks are in blackline for pupils to colour and decorate and they are printed three per A4 page.
