Welcome to Seomra Ranga, the Hub for Primary School Resources. For the overseas visitors “Seomra Ranga” means “classroom” in the Irish language.

Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Science Week 2024 Table Quiz

This Table Quiz, especially put together for Science Week 2024 (November 10-17), comprises eight rounds of six questions, a Tie-Break Round, Science Jokes between rounds and answers to all questions on 173 Powerpoint slides. It is geared towards pupils in the middle/senior end of the school.

The book I just finished reading was called ‘Ireland’s Call’ by the author Paul O’ Flynn. This book was about how Ireland came back from a low of losing instrumental players like Johnny Sexton and Keith Earls. Book Review – First Term at Fernside

First Time At Fernside by Sheena Wilkinson is a fictional adventure book about girls in a boarding school called Fernside. Robins’ younger cousin Linnet has just started school at Fernside and is already homesick, there are just too many strict rules, new faces and confusing timetables for her to handle. Counting Hallowe’en Bats 02

Focusing on the numbers 0-10, this seasonal numeracy resource can be used to help younger pupils and/or AEN pupils to consolidate their knowledge and understanding of basic number. Pupils have to count the number of Bats on the moon on each card and attach the correct number in the blank box.

Hallowe’en Count the Room

This seasonal Count the Room activity is aimed at younger pupils working on early number and counting. It focuses on numbers 1-10. The activity is based on 26 seasonal image cards where pupils have to count and record the number of items on each card. There are 10 different worksheets based on these cards as well as 10 more differentiated worksheets.
