Welcome to Seomra Ranga, the Hub for Primary School Resources. For the overseas visitors “Seomra Ranga” means “classroom” in the Irish language.

Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Counting Valentines Cards

Focusing on the numbers 0-10, this Valentines-themed numeracy resource can be used to help younger pupils and/or SEN pupils to consolidate their knowledge and understanding of basic number. Pupils have to count the number of Valentines Cards in the delivery truck and attach the correct number in the blank box.

CVC Picture Matching 04

This resource is aimed at infant pupils or SEN pupils at the beginning of work on phonics. It is based on their knowledge of CVC words with medial O. The resource could be used as a teaching tool or alternatively, it could be used as a form of assessment. There are 12 CVC Word cards for pupils to match the picture with the word.

Bí ag Bogadh

This resource consists of a set of 25 colourful photo posters as Gaeilge to encourage pupils to “Bí ag Bogadh”. They illustrate different ways in which pupils can easily get moving in school, at home, in the park etc. Each A4 poster features a high quality background photo of children moving as well as a clear word label.

This resource could be used as an aid to pupils in middle and senior classes. The word mat contains vocabulary associated with the different stories surrounding the life of St. Brigid, celebrated on February 1st. It would be especially useful for pupils when completing some written work or creative writing about St. Brigid.
