Welcome to Seomra Ranga, the Hub for Primary School Resources. For the overseas visitors “Seomra Ranga” means “classroom” in the Irish language.
Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Saint Brigid Bookmarks
These bookmarks are intended to help mark the celebration of St. Brigid’s Day on February 1st. There are 17 different bookmarks in the download in both English and Gaeilge. The bookmarks are in blackline for pupils to colour and decorate and they are printed three per A4 page.

Get Moving
This resource consists of a set of 25 colourful photo posters to encourage pupils to “Get Moving”. They illustrate different ways in which pupils can easily get moving in school, at home, in the park etc. Each A4 poster features a high quality background photo of children moving as well as a clear word label.

Crois Bhríde
This seasonal resource is a simple re-telling of the story of the St. Brigid’s Cross. The story is told in poster format made up of 15 illustrated posters. These could be printed out and displayed in the classroom or they could be read by pupils on the IWB.

This resource, aimed at younger pupils and pupils with poor fine motor control, contains cards with 25 different patterns for pupils to trace. The cards give pupils great opportunities to practise their fine motor skills and pencil control skills.

Breakfast Resource Pack
This Breakfast Resource Pack is intended to support a theme/topic of work on Breakfast or food/bia. It contains 61 different files with over 900 pages of resource material. The pack contains resources for display in the classroom as well as lots of activities for pupils to complete in both English and Gaeilge.

Dot-to-Dot Number Tracing Book
This resource contains two 12-page booklets focusing on the consolidation of number recognition in the range 0-10, so it would be suitable for junior pupils and/or pupils with additional needs. One booklet gives pupils numbers 1-10 to trace to create the number. The second booklet just has the dots for pupils to trace.

Counting Snowballs
Focusing on the numbers 0-10, this snow-themed numeracy resource can be used to help younger pupils to consolidate their knowledge and understanding of basic number. Pupils have to count the number of snowballs on each card and attach the correct number in the blank box.

This literacy resource is suitable for almost any class and is aimed at providing attractive lined pages for pupils to display their snow/winter-themed written work in either English or Gaeilge.
