Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Coat of Arms Template
This is a nice art/SPHE lesson to do with pupils at the beginning of the school year. They have to design their own personal Coat of Arms by following the instructions to complete the six sections of the blank template which is included in the download. Pupils have the choice of drawing pictures or writing a little piece into each section.
Classroom Visual Instructions
Visual supports are essential in the classroom. They are especially beneficial to pupils with additional learning needs, however they really also benefit all pupils. This resource consists of 99 Classroom Visual Instructions to help pupils understand what is expected of them in any particular lessons. All of the instructions are circular in shape and feature a visual image and a one word instruction.

The Dates For Your Diary resource is back again for its 11th consecutive year. So many teachers make use of this list while they are making plans for seasonal and related activities in the classroom during the school year. Dot to Dot 2D Shapes Booklet
This resource contains a 13-page booklet focusing on the consolidation of numbers 1-20 along with a variety of 2D shapes. Pupils have to follow the numbers 1-20 on each page of the booklet to complete the 2D shape. At the bottom of each page they have to name the shape and say how many sides it has. The shape can be coloured in if desired.
Over and Back
This Free resource is aimed at younger pupils who are working on early number. It is a maths game for two pupils to practise counting skills. The winner of the game is the player who gets the playing object to the finish line on the opposite end of the grid. A Gaeilge version of the game is included in the download. read more…
Crayon Colours
This resource is aimed at pupils in junior classes who are learning the names of colours. They are printed two crayons per A4 page and the word label is in all lower case letters. 17 colour crayons are included in the display pack which contains all of the usual colour names that pupils should know.
