Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

The book I was given to read was Safe Harbour written by Marita Conlon-McKenna. The main storyline was about a girl named Sophie and her younger brother Hugh, who were evacuated from London when their house was bombed. With the arrival of the sunny days of summer, teachers in junior classes especially will be discussing the theme of Summer with their pupils. Book Review – The Pain in my Chest

The Pain in my Chest by Áine Murray, illustrated by Bronagh Lee. I was immediately drawn to this book by its title and the eye-catching front cover (yes I judged a book by its cover). I read this book initially to myself, my son (12), then to a junior class (infants to second) and finally to a senior class (third to sixth). I teach in a multi-grade setting.
