Seomra Ranga has been successfully providing tried and tested resources for primary school classrooms since 2007. Since that time, the site has gradually built up a strong following amongst educators as a repository of quality teacher-created resources. The resources on the site, which support all areas of the curriculum, are arranged in accordance with the curricular provisions of the Irish primary school….

Book Review – The Pain in my Chest
The Pain in my Chest by Áine Murray, illustrated by Bronagh Lee. I was immediately drawn to this book by its title and the eye-catching front cover (yes I judged a book by its cover). I read this book initially to myself, my son (12), then to a junior class (infants to second) and finally to a senior class (third to sixth). I teach in a multi-grade setting.

With the theme of Summer well under way in many classrooms throughout the country, these seasonal image mats might be a welcome addition to talk, discussion and writing on the theme of Summer Clothes, especially in junior classes.
